I am looking to get a pan and scan plugin for Final Cut Pro for working with pictures. What have you used, what would you recommend/ avoid?

My problem with final cut is that when I enter my pan and scan and zoom effect into a clip, I can't easily change it from a 3 second clip to a 4 second clip. I don't like having to go into the motion settings and drag out the each keyframe for the scale and position everytime I want to adjust the duration of a clip. Is there a way to "attach" the keyframes to the beginning and end points of a clip so that no matter the duration of the clip, the first keyframes of the pan/scan/zoom is always on the first frame of the clip?
Additionally, I don't like that when I have a dissolve effect in and out of the clip, when I go to the beginning of the clip, the dissolve is in full effect and I can't adjust the size and position of the picture until I delete the dissolve so I can see what I'm doing.
I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 and FCP 6.0.6
