hi guys!

I have had my DVXBE for a couple of weeks now. I read your posts all the time to learn more about the camera and how to use it. But i think i am a bit confused. Most of the users here seem to use the NTSC version of the camera. I use the PAL version, and here comes the deal:

1:What is pulldown? And do i have to go trough the same procedure with my PAL camera?

2:Do my DVXBE have a 25P and 25PA option? If so, what is the difference?

3: When i shoot on 25 P and want to capture it into FCP. What kind of settings is BEST to use, to get the film-look and no compressed image?

4: When i capture 25P into FCP is it captured as interlaced frames? Do i need to make them progressive in FCP?

Sorry for bothering with noob questions. But i need to know this to use my camera the right way:=)

Thanks guys!

There is no pull down in PAL.

The setting I use in FCP is the "Easy Set Up": DV PAL 48 khz Anamorphic (I shoot with the anamorphic lens).

This automatically catures 25 fps Progressive. I, too, was concerned about this so I sent a sequence to DVFilm in Texas and they confirmed that it was, indeed, progressive.

Yeah, shooting PAL puts us in the minority - and I shoot PAL in the USA - a REAL minority!
