PAL RULES- OK

Re: PAL RULES- OK

From the footage I have seen from the DVX NTSC, it can beat any PAL interlaced camera. I was never too impressed with the Sony PD-150, nor the Canon XL1.

To be honest, both the DVX PAL and the DVX NTSC, generate similar footage to me. It would have been great if the PAL version could shoot 24P as well as 25P. But we can live with that!

As for shooting film, one day every cinema will have a digital projector, and we won't need to do a transfer. And the movies are going to be much, much cheaper to make. Tapes are just cheap. And if you want to add some visual effects to your film, then you do everything digital, and then transfer the whole thing to 35mm.

If you shoot 35mm and you want to add some visual effects, you have to do a datacine, which costs a lot of money. Another alternative is transfer the whole thing to HD, add your visual effects and then transfer back to 35mm. Isn't that going to be more expensive?

One day we are going to have a nice affordable HD camera in our hands. Until that day comes, DVX is the option.

All the best

Fidel.
