hi, I've been lurking for months and this is my first message, like many people here I'm thinking about getting the PAL or the NTSC version, of course I've read a lot of threads about pal-ntsc-film conversion
I really don't want to make a film for now, may be a short or a documentary, so the problem is not the conversion to 24p, but I would like that the HD final result can be easily converted to PAL or NTSC. So the question is doing it in 25p or 30p with the pal or the ntsc cam version. If didn't misunderstanding anyything 24p to/from 25p does not seem to be a problem, perfect conversion frame by frame.
I have no special requirements for high fps, so 24p/25p would be fine and it will simplify a lot the editing and the special effects.
I'd been doing some tests with a simple video of a painted rectangle coverting it 24p to and from 30p, and I think I like more the 24p converted to 30p than the 30p converted to 24p, but really I have zero experience about this, may be a 30p converted to 50i looks better on a tv.
please any thoughts about using the pal version at 25p or the ntsc at 30p?
thanks and excuse my english!
