PAL on HVX200a

[lcwarden]

I've always shot NTSC on my HVX200a, but someone has asked me if I can shoot PAL on it. I can't find it in the book or on-line. Is it possible to shoot PAL?

Thank you very much for your time.

there are two versions of the hvx200, a pal and a ntsc one... so NO, you can't...

The other version is the HVX201a - which has these specs
DVCPRO HD
1080/50i, 1080/25p over 50i
720/50p, 720/25p over 50p, 720/25pN (Native Record)
DVCPRO 50/DVCPRO/DV576/50i, 576/25p over 50i

Just hire a PAL capable camera for the time you need it, no big deal.

Yeah, you'd need an HVX201 or HVX202 (those are PAL models). The NTSC HVX200 can't do PAL.

Much thanks to all who responded. I'll rent the PAL version.
