Pal/ntsc

Just recently started hacking my GH1 and I've seen the option to convert PAL to NTSC.

Now in my menu I already have the Video Out option with the ability to choose between NTSC and PAL. Is it still necessary that I run the PAL->NTSC Conversion hack through it to make it work or should it do the job on it's own?

You are most likely using an older version of Ptool. Download the latest one, it has "PAL <-> NTSC Menu" hack instead of the obsolete "PAL->NTSC Conversion". With that the existing Video Out menu will be used to fully switch between recording standards (in stock firmware it only switches video output to match the standard of the TV you watch the in-camera content on). With the previous "PAL->NTSC Conversion" hack you'll have to hack firmware each time you need to switch between standards, while the newer one is menu based.

Okay, but I don't need to switch it back to PAL, all I wanted was to get my recording speeds to NTSC standard and leave it there, since NTSC has 10 more fps on slow-motion mode. Thanks anyway for your help, I'll check it out.
