PAL GH13 users - lpowell has hit the Motherlode

Is quality difference that noticeable is it rambooc1? i shoot more at 720 now days.

Mr fanny, I still shoot all my action stuff from a Jetski in FH 720p 50fps mode, reliable patch, always will. But I also shoot lots of other landbased stuff, for this I will now be using the new V2 lpowell 100mbps patch in PAL. I have 2 GH13' s with one of the patches above on each. A third GH13 is spare/backup.

Yes, with the new V2 Mode, FHD is very noticably better than SH mode, almost like comparing HD to SD now even just viewed on a PC monitor. Before, not so noticable. If you can get V2 to work for you, do it, it's a whole new level of IQ.
 
rambooc, do you see any potential computer issues when rendering these high bit rate/near 100mbps files; i.e. low memory, crashing editing program, etc.?

No, i transcode everything anyway (either Cineform, Canopus HQ or Avid DNxHD visually lossless codecs)

Thanks. I just downloaded the Avid DNxHD codec -made the files bigger, but was smooth in Sony Vegas/no crashing.
How do you get an Avid interface as a stand alone/like with Cineform?
It didn't show up after download of codec pack.
I had to use Vegas to individually transcode each file first.

That's how i do it. I rough trim the clips in vegas of all the crap (preview auto), then transcode the lot as Cineform, Canopus HQ or Avid DNxHD and re import one large file which will preview as best full.
