PAL-DVX in America: Lightnig flicker?

We will shoot a short in Havana with a PAL-DVX. I heard about problems with 60hz lightning because of lightning flicker, especially with neon tubes because the PAL-DVX runs on 50hz or, more precise, shoots in 50i or 25p. Does anybody here have some experience with a similar shooting situation?

I shot with a PAL camera in the US before. I just adjusted the clear scan on the camera to justify for light flicker just like I would for a computer screen.

Hello dpryke! Thank you for the answer.

Did that setting have any influence on motions? Any jugger or strobing when people moved? Does the shutter speed get changed?
