I watched your footage, it's not that it's bad, it's just that from the post you say a short film, when in actuality it is really only a series of shots edited together with some music thrown over the top. The term "a short film" would lead me, and possibly others, to be expecting to watch something with a narrative component to the clip as opposed to what you presented.
I've never seen anyone combine a wink and frown - that alone deserves a response
I liked your shots when your camera was still, though felt a little seasick when you tried to the follow the planes - I bet that wasn't easy. My 2c barnholdt...try extra hard to get smooth, steady shots with your subject consistently framed - it'll make a big difference for your audience.
