We’re pleased to announce our third ultra-micro budget independently financed HD film, and we’re currently accepting submissions for individuals interested in working on a small, meaningful project set in a collaborative atmosphere – that will be shot over the course of a month in October 2007 in Los Angeles, CA. We have a family-like crew that has worked together before – and we’re looking for individuals seeking a fun learning experience set in a creative environment. Ideally, we’re looking to further build our permanent team, as we move into this next endeavor – Heart of Now.

There is pay, but as it is a minimal flat rate for 20 production days ($800 total, paid weekly & with a deposit up-front) so we ask that this doesn’t break your bank – and that you can truly afford to commit to the 8-10 hour production days. We know this is minimal. Here’s why:
Because we donate 1/3 of our profits from our films directly to charity, we keep our costs low & ALL the above the line talent on the film are working for free, minimal or deferred pay to make this film even possible. This means you’ll be one of the highest paid people on set with regards to the entire budget.
Ideally we’re looking for individuals that would like to move forward along their path as an artist – and those that can handle a variety of tasks that may come up: Gaffer, Grip, Set & Office PA, Runner, AC, 2nd AD, Post Assistant, etc. An insured, registered car will be necessary and you must be local.
Once you’ve checked out our site, we ask that you send us a COVER LETTER explaining why you’d like this position, and what you hope to gain from the experience, as well as a resume/reel with pertinent information. Resumes without cover letters will be deleted. We ask this COVER LETTER from you because we’re seeking to find someone we can have a long history with. Particularly for when our budgets increase and we can offer more pay.

1. PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS (MULTI-TALENTED, MANY ROLES & HATS) – Minimal Pay, but a chance to become part of a talented team & an opportunity at an apprenticeship (a chance to learn/explore).
2. GRIP &/OR GAFFER – Minimal Pay, but a chance to become part of a talented team. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals that want to contribute to an artistic collaborative endeavor.
3. SECOND AD / POSSIBLE FIRST AD -- Minimal Pay, but a chance to run a fun family-like set & to work creatively with a team of artists. We’re looking for someone that calm, collected, friendly with the actors – and is ready to put everything aside for the month and do anything it takes to keep this production moving to the end.
CREW POSITIONS FOR SOLE FEATURE CREDIT ONLY
1. PRODUCTION DESIGNER / PROPS / SET DRESSING (SOLE FEATURE CREDIT, NO PAY, NON-UNION) – We will gladly work with you / collaborate on the design of the spaces, but we’re looking for someone willing to work within the confines of a limited budget. Creative and cheap solutions to production design is needed. We’re looking for innovative artists that can roll up their sleeves and help us acquire/improvise what we need for each scenario. Must have your own car and supplemental-income as we cannot pay a rate or salary at this time.
2. INTERN/OFFICE PA – willing to multi-task and get their hands dirty in a number of tasks, creative, administrative & practical & learn how to set-up a micro-budget movie.
3. COSTUME DESIGNERS / WARDROBE STYLISTS (SOLE FEATURE CREDIT, NO PAY, NON-UNION) - willing to work within the confines of a limited budget. Creative and cheap solutions to costumes needed, we would need your help prior to production. We’re looking ideally for innovative artists that can roll up their sleeves and help us acquire what we need for each character.
