Packing your Matte Box..

Hi-

I have a Chrosziel 4x4 matte box with french flag- What do people do for storing / transporting their matte box? I don't want to leave it loose in my bag (Kata Teddy-2) and need to economize on the available space. Any specific suggestions? Something other than a cardboard box?

I know Porta Brace have a nice case for the 4x4 with divider
for the flag and space for filters.

I use a really big production bag that lets me leave the mattebox on.

most times, i use a big production case so it stays on...but when i do need to pack it, i use the pelican 1400 (i think thats the small size) that also has a soft bag that is fitted for it. this way, i can keep the mattebox in the soft case, but have the protection of the hard pelican when needed.

check b and h - search for 'pelican' and then select 'soft bags' and then look for the size you desire.

I use something like the below, I can't remember if I use the Med or Large, but my mattebox with the front flag is pretty wide. These are a great price and cases4less has been good to me on all my purchases. The Dosko cases are so inexpensive I bought some for most of my gear.
