P2CMS Software Help Please

Running OSX.5.8 and P2CMS. I have been doing some housecleaning on my drives and now need to designate a new location for my P2 database. P2CMS just makes me want to cry, or rather the documentation. As good a company as Panna is, they should be embarrassed at how bad their translations are. It would be comical if I didn't need to use them on occasion. I simply cannot understand any of it. I feel like all my years of college have gone for naught.

So I have tried to designate the new location of my P2 database, but the menu doesn't let me get past the DB name and which drive to search. Presently it is searching the entire drive, for several hours (big drive) and if I could only tell it where to look, I wouldn't be bitching. This is so stupid, but can someone suggest how I can get P2CMS to locate the new DB location?

Scratch that request, I found a little button that enabled my search, da! Big help the documentation.

Thinking about the bigger topic.....Panny websites and software. The Pass Site, or in this case, the P2CMS software, includes in some form, many useful utilities that actually work, if you can figure them out. The translators in particular need remedial English classes. It seems so bizarre that Panny can't hire a programmer for the interface and a technical writer to improve the documentation. Seems to me the product managers should be putting some pressure on the home office to make this much needed improvement to a resource which the P2 professional community depends on. Rant over.

Everything about P2CMS is horrible and the software should be a major embarrassment to Panasonic. But after all these years, they don't seem to care enough to fix it.

Crap like that has lessened my loyalty to Panasonic.
Case in point: I bought a Canon DSLR recently after waiting on the GH2 forever.
