p2 work flow for fcp 7?

ive searched online and i cant find anything, I log and transfer in fcp and then export as Apple Prores 422? or?
and then to compress it for web i usually use mpegstreamclip. what would be best settings for those for best quality and
small file size.

Assuming you are shooting DVCProHD onto p2, export self containing from the timeline, and use Compressor for the web.

There is nothing to be gained going to pro res from a DVCProHD sequence.

Here's the tapeless workflow for FCP...including P2. If you shoot DVCPRO HD, it only comes in as DVCPRO HD...not ProREs. If you shoot AVCintra...you can convert to ProRes.
