P2 Viewer no working!? Weird Cineform probs too...

I am trying my first stabb at editing HD on the PC platform and I am having issues. First the P2 viewer does not work, it locates the clips but when I hit play it skips to the end, you cannot view any of the files, frames, etc. The icons are there and I CAN play the footage in WMP. The other issue, is when I convert to the cineform codec and import into premiere pro, same thing... skips to the end. When I resize clips to 1280X720, they dont work at all in Premiere Pro... ideas? The EXACT same clips play fine on my much much weaker laptop. I have an ETM64 3.6ghz desktop with 4GB ram and an SATA raid so there are no performance issues. It is 720 24PN footage btw.

Make sure you have the latest of all the tools. Aspect HD is up to version 4.1.3. The failure to play bug, it typically an installion issue. The two main courses, 1) you didn't install Aspect HD from the Administrator account in XP (user accounts times prevent Aspect HD components from registering correctly -- I wish we knew why) or your DirectX components need updating.
