P2 viewer issues

I am using the P2 viewer software that is on the Panasonic website. When we view our footage on a PC labtop. the footage plays fine but the audio sounds sped up and out of sync. I put the card back into the Hvx and view it and everything is fine. Has anyone ecountered this problem? Could this be a bug in the software or possible a performance issue? The labtop is a 1.7ghz with 2gigs of ram and XP.

I would bet that your laptop is underpowered. The audio probably can't quite keep up with the HD video.

I get the same thing. I figured it's because the audio subsystems in PC's don't deal with audio playing at 59.xx frames per second.

According to the specs on the sight, you have more than enough RAM but but only about half the processor speed you need. That may be it.

thanks guys. I figured it would be something like that. You've made my client less stressed out. thanks again.

I am having the same sped up audio issue with a p4 2.4/400fsb cpu. When I play clips on my friends pc, the sound works fine, his is an amd 1.7 (so it is not a cpu speed issue although I think this cpu had more cache). Does anyone have any further info on this? Could it be the sound card?
