P2 Viewer in Edius

Can somebody explain to me how is P2 Viewer "integrated" into Edius?
The P2 viewer function opens the program separately... outside of Edius, what's the point of that?
how is this useful? Is there a way to open it INSIDE of EDIUS? ie, you pick the clip you want on P2 viewer and add it to the Edius timeline?

P.S. Yes, this is a repost. Nobody answered it the first time around.
 
i have edius and never used the p2 viewer also just used "P2 select" in edius and it opened all the clips with metadata and then options for direct import or copy and import hope that helps
 
Okay... well, that is what I thought. Barry also mentions the P2 Select option from Edius, it looks good, except it doesn't let you preview the clip before you bring it into Edius. Not sure about you Jeff, but I find it hard to remember which clip is which when all have names like "0097NV". If P2 Select let you preview the clips in question, like P2 Viewer does, that would be amazing. By the way, I have Edius 6 on my Win XP system and it DOES NOT have the P2 Select option...(?!??) Have they removed this feature?
