P2 viewer image quality poor

First attempt with p2 genie and p2 viewer- all worked great, but the fullscreen image quality using P2 viewer on my dell latitude 620 is not as good as I hoped. For example... The edges of people in the forground were very pixelated- in general the whole image looked pixelated. Should I expect better- i had hoped to be able to confirm sharp focus. Is it my laptop, or are there settings to change?

Laptop specs:
2ghz core 2 duo
WXGA+ LCD -1400x900
NVIDIA 256 Quadro NVS 110 TurboCachegraphics card
1gb ram

I changed my lcd resolution to 1280x720 and the picture looks like it got a bit worse.
