P2 transfers to FCP 5

Hi -

So other than connecting the camera to your FCP system or buying the Panasonic multi-card reader are there other ways to transfer the P2 files to FCP like some form of simple PCMCIA card reader?

Also will FCP 5 deal with the MXF file format natively? I ready that FCP depends on a piece of software called Flip4Mac. Would this be correct?

You won't need that Flip4Mac program to use the P2 data in FCP 5. I have FCP 5 and there's already a setting in it for importing P2 media. I haven't used it yet because I don't have any P2 media to mess with. But it seems like everything is in place for you to use P2 media.
