My TV station just got a load of 370's in and we are in the process of setting up some workflows.
My question is.... is it possible to connect a 370 directly to a MBP via FireWire and use "Log and Transfer" to import into Final Cut Pro? Or can you only use USB?
I can't seem to get the MBP to recognize the P2 cards in the 370 as a drive over FireWire. I can capture from the 370 (both live video and playback) but it can't see the cards as drives.
I can connect an HPX170 to the MBP using PC Mode and FireWire and have it mount as a drive. I can also use the PCD2 over USB and have the cards mount. I just don't know if I'm missing a setting on the 370 that allows card mounting, of if it's even possible.
SD video with a new-ish MBP with FCP6... will be used for in-the-field editing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
