Hi,

I am new to this site so hope I am using it correctly by using New Thread. I am quite new to the world of cameras as well actually. So hope someone here can help me!

I have a HVX 200 camera using the 32 gig P2 card and want to use my Mac Book Pro 10.5 to transfer it to my HDD (1tera)

What exactly is needed to get the material to my lap top and afterwards to my ext hard drive.

I ve read and heard so many things about adaptors and downloads and have ended up quite confused. Could someone just tell me from A to B? Pleaseee:)

Thanks
Hert

You can use the HVX200 and a firewire or USB cable to transfer the files on the P2 card to the laptop.

Or you can get a PCMCIA adaptor that makes it possible to plug P2 cards straight into a Mac Book. I believe you need P2CMS or P2 viewer to use the PCMCIA adaptor.

Once you get the footage on your computer, you can use FCP log and transfer to capture or a program like DVFilm Raylight for Mac to pretty much instant start editing without having to log and transfer.

Hope this helps,
Andy
