P2 to External HD in Field

I posted pictures of it a few months ago because someone had a similar idea and thought they might be able to find something, but nothing came of it. And yes it has a connector for external power.

Can you give me the URL for those photos? I might help.

I was just wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what 's the best OTG Hard Drive to use with the Cineporter? I imagine it would be better to have a firewire transfer. I am looking for a drive to copy the days footage to and hand to an editor, and was wondering what the transfer time for a full 160 GB drive would be. (not that I will be filling a drive every day but rather as a reference) Like Indi I am looking for a drive I can get in the UK.
Any Suggestions or links please ?

Carlos,
That price is for the 3 hour version and it lists for $729 from the company, so it's still a better price than from the company. The $999 one is 6 hours, tho it obviously can be had for less from a retailer than direct from the company. Here's the company URL:

Shining claims to be producing a version of the CitiDisk that will record streaming DVCPRO-HD. It's not out, so no comment on what it can or can't do, or how well it works yet.

It's already in production:

B&H is accepting order for the HD version, with better prices than Firestore's. E.g.: 120GB version for $ 1,198.95. HDV version is $ 1,098.95

Different product. The citidisk HDV wouldn't work at all with the HVX. They're supposed to be making a "citidisk HD" which works with the HVX, and that's the one that's not out yet.

Yes, the Citidisk HD is the for the HVX, and it's the last URL I put above. I mentioned there were two versions, also having different prices.

I wonder how they record the HVX stream, if it's through the 1394 output or at the P2's slot. Though I think the latter is unlikely.
