Is this something worth investing in anymore? With 32gig P2 cards right around the corner seems like it would be more cost effective just to buy a couple of those instead. Any news on a new P2 store with a larger harddrive?
 
I, for one, still think it's wise to have a P2 Store in the field with you. It's small, it's battery powered, portable, and VERY reliable. I've got 3 8GB cards, and I could NOT have been able to get by in a few situations without having a way to quickly and reliably dump footage to my P2 Store. Even when I do upgrade to 16/32 cards, my P2 Store will continue to be a reliable way for me to keep shooting when it's not realistic to drag a laptop/HDD's around with me.
 
The P2 Store is probably going to be phased out. With 32GB cards coming, it just doesn't make much sense anymore. I don't believe there will ever be a larger P2 Store; they would rather have people get a P2 Gear and offload to external hard disks instead.

Who knows, they may surprise us with a new product, but I wouldn't count on it.
 
I have to agree with Barry 100%. Depending though on which corner you are standing when they (32GB) become available . . . 16's started to make their way to (some) dealers in May but you still can't get your hands on one unless you are either very fast, or lucky.

I wouldn't expect the supply demand situation to be radically different when they first come out. I do, however, look forward to the day when you can actually buy two 32GB cards for what you can get a P2Store today. That's when I'll drop mine from my kit.
