P2 Store "erase all" function? and update?

So i was formatting my P2 store, and trying to see if it needed any updates and i decided to do the erase all function thinking that maybe it was a multi-pass format or something (maybe it would help to really clean out any old data). but now the p2 store will not dump any of the info that is on my p2 cards. When i insert a card and press start the p2 and hdd lights blink like normal but then all of the "status lights" (20-100%) start blinking. I cannot make them stop unless i press the power button???

anyone seen this before? have any help? also, when are they going to update this thing for leopard?
