p2 store and P2 logger questions

using macbook pro - my question is - if i use a p2 store would i also need the p2 logger software? or would just either or do? looking into getting the p2 store but and not the p2 logger if i didnt have to - since i would be needing 2 licenses one for macbook pro and another for powermac quad - and thought maybe p2 store would sorta kill 2 birds with one p2
 
ok let me see if i got this right
can use P2 store for dumping footage from p2 cards and then can export all p2 sotre stuff straight into FCP -
or
once adapter comes avail for macbook pro can dump footage into laptop using P2 logger.
 
you do not need the p2 logger software. once you copy all your footage to the p2 store, you could mount it to your computer using usb2. you can either copy the files off the drive or you can import straight to final cut. you can also use the p2 store as a pcmcia slot since the macbook pro doesnt have one. just hook it up usb2 and slip the p2 card in.
 
It is not necesary but Highly recommedable. Lots of issues importing P2 direct into FCP. P2 is more reliable. I takw longer to import but it's safe. I had some big isseus importing direct to FCP and so had others
