P2 Software & Snow Leopard

At a certain price point it makes more sense to buy more cards, especially with the new lower prices of the E-series. I don't have a problem offloading from the camera, I just don't want to interrupt a shoot to do it. And personally, Snow Leopard gave my old MBP a much needed boost in all around performance....which for me is worth it.

I have to agree with this. My MBP runs much more smoothly with snow leopard. As much I want to get rid of my old PC, I still can't. :badputer:

you can have a STACK of 64gig cards, but if you have to bring your camera down to transfer a card, its a non-starter.

just wait until you have a paying, long-form client and you have to tell them you have to bring production to a halt for an hour to use your camera to transfer a single 64 gig card...

that will be one LOST client

Maybe I am just a conservative shooter, and I am mostly shooting in 720 so that helps, but I don't see this as a problem...I could always offload that evening after the shoot, or at lunch...if there is time. But in any case I can't see burning through a stack of cards in one day. Not with taking the time to properly light and compose, but then I am not shooting events where I may need the "stack".
