Jason- I ordered from SpecComm as soon as it's anticipated existence was announced by Panasonic. At present they are going for full retail $350 as far as I know. Not sure of the current state of availablity but I would guess they are in high demand since we've all been waiting half a decade!
At NAB, Panasonic reps offered a guarded "shipping around the end of April" response. The soon to be not mythical affordable P2 card reader is supposed to show up today. Waiting anxiously for the Big Brown Truck. Will report here on my findings when I get a chance to test it.

Hi Steve,
LOL, At least your efforts to make your own reader is better than most guys who just belly ache and ***** that someone else has not made it for them for next to nothing and also keeps the drivers current for all the OS up dates.
Love to see your finished product when you go into shipping release.
