I'm new to the HVX 200 community, and I am a beginning (at best) filmmaker.
I've encountered 2 major problems trying to shoot in HD...
1) Upon trying to test the P2 card, I cleared the ENTIRE card on my PC. By doing so, after putting it back in the camera, when trying to record, it flashes in red "FORMAT ERR!" and the P2 symbol on the top left has a slash through it in red.
Someone please help! I guess I just need to reformat it???
2) The reason I've had problem #1, is because I'm trying to view the footage on my PC that I recorded on the camera. I have a Windows XP, and I can't seem to see whether or not I've saved the files correctly...I downloaded the P2 Viewer Software from the Panasonic site, but I still can't seem to watch the footage. Am I just better off getting a Mac and Final Cut? Will that automatically play and save the footage???
I'd rather just shell out the money for the Mac/Final Cut than deal with the frustration I've been having so far (thank God for credit cards).
Any information/solutions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks guys,
Riley
