Yeah its true. Prices in Japan have slightly so as we needed to get 2 more I enquired in the US, and they are about to there also. Get the old stock while you still can.

Hmm seems theres an information crosswire somewhere then.

Nevertheless, despite the fact that Panasonic just RAISED(!) the
price of the 4gig cards, we still have some at the older price of $529. We
have no 8gig cards (which just went through a price DECREASE).

You will notice Jan refers to 8gb cards and my subsequent post is 4gb cards. BTW this came from EVS.

who cares?
this is not the P2 card exchange...
why waste time posting stupid info like this? Go outside and use your HVX.

Ya can always just keep these comments to yourself and let others choose to determine if the thread is valuable.

But thanks anyway.

best wishes

Thanks for the advice champ !

The point was to disseminate some information that I came by as I thought it might be useful to some people to know, especially if they are considering buying p2 cards now. Is it a difficult concept to grasp that I was merely trying to HELP others. If it is of no use to you then please dont take it upon yourself to take it as some kind of threat to your way of life.

The information did come from EVS, but Jans post is contradictory to this. Jan being from Panasonic should know the reality. But why am I being told different by a reputable guy at EVS?

I can't imagine why they would say this knowing that you would post it or possibly be a part of this forum. I would call them back and have them clarify. Perhaps their price was going to go up, say they were selling at $499 and the feel that they cannot sell them tere anymore as it doesn't cover the cost of doing buisness with the card, so now they will be charging $510. Might be interesting to find out what they say. But be assured the card prices only go down.

Best,

jan

Sorry Barry agree with you... I should have said.. Indeed the prices did go up at EVS.

ncje, I believe sincerely and regardless of everything that you were indeed trying to help and nothing more. I wanted to give you my thanks for being so considerate for posting this information.

Best,

Jim
