P2 price increase

I went to check the B&H site and noticed the price of P2 cards has recently gone up. I'm pretty sure a 32gb card used to be around $1380 and is now $1400. While not much, it still sucks that the price is going in the reverse direction everyone was hoping for. Damn this recession!

Spare a thought for us in Australia.
a HPX172 has gone from $6500 Aussie dollars to $10,500 since xmas
same percentage increase for P2 cards

The price you mention is not correct. The retail price on the 172 in Australia is actually $10,044 inc GST. The selling price is well under this from our delaers. If you have been following exchange rates over the past 6 months you will find that our price increase is less the the shift in our dollar. We also held off increasing prices until Jan unlike others who raised prices in Nov... If and when our dollar makes a recovery prices will drop.
 
Hi Rob,
I was not critising Panasonic, we can not do much about exchange rates for the the old ozzie battler.
I am very happy thou that I bought mine before xmas currently have a DVX100 and a HPX172 with a 16+32Gb P2. Off to PNG in May to do a Fishing DVD.
