I just have a question for people, how do you feel about not having raw tapes? I mean, once you get your takes, you dump in what you want and delete the rest, right? Never to be seen again. Same with one you have a project edited, you dump all your footage and that's in the past, never to be looked at again. On top of that, anyone ever have issues with like Final Cut just loosing raw video files and having to use the TC in the timeline to redump all that footage back onto the harddrive? i guess I would want to back up all footage onto an HD tape, but where would you find time or money for that if you're at the indie level? I guess I'm rambling at this point, but how does other people feel about a no tape format? I love the idea of never having to buy tapes and gigs are like a buck or less now, but still, it's not a physical copy of the footage. It's like a digital book, you can't touch it like a tape.
