p2 mxf support in AE?

is there in fact going to be support for mxf files in AE? seems like I heard about it but when I talked to Adobe support they said there were no plans for it. Anyone the story?
 
Yes, it is coming. It's in development, and it slated for relase before the end of the year (though that date is fast approaching). But yes, it's definatly coming.

..becuase the adobe support center is a contracted third party group which is seperate from the umbrella of adobe systems inc. a freind of mine is linked with the support division and they dont learn any inside info unless adobe wants them to.

..but at any rate, i hope they pull through prior to , or even on new year.
 
The update was actually pushed back to "mid-January" for testing purposes. Better to release something right the first time than broken and later patched.
 
They have a video of p2 working fine for almost 2 months, they are fixing other issues with after effects I suspect. Hate this wait man.
 
Hey Kary, how do you know or how did you hear it was pushed back till mid-January? I was still hoping by the end of this month!
