I'm sure that this has been brought up before. But is there a way that you can stop recording audio into the P2 card. And if so how and will it add a little more recording time on the P2? I notice that even if I turn my audio levels all the way down, I always get an "Audio" folder when downloading my card.

Yes you can stop recording audio in 720 24pn film cam mode (change default to 24). However, this does not add any time to the P2's recording time.

Right - I forgot that the pN modes don't record audio. I was thinking more along the lines of turning audio itself off...

The pN modes DO record audio, if you're using the same frame rate (i.e., 720/24pN @ 24fps = yes, audio is recorded; 720/30pN @ 30fps = audio recorded).

Digital Audio "silence" still uses "bits".
