Hi Guys,
I was just checking out the P2 Log website and was reading about how pal users can use it to edit 720p stuff in a 1080i easy setup useing their pass through codec and then change the sequence settings in FCP too :
HD (960x720) (16:9) Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (960x720) Editing Timebase: 25 Compressor: DVCPRO HD 720p50 .
After you edit your footage (in realtime) you use media manager to recompress it back to ‘DVCPRO HD – 1080i50 or another desired format.
My question is does this process cause any loss of quality to your original footage?
If so how much?
