This is a bit of an EDIUS/HVX200 hybrid comment.
I exported a finalized timeline from EDIUS yesterday using the P2export option; and then used the HVX to playout to a big screen (LCD Projector) in component.
The results were rock-solid and awesome. I had a DVD of the same programme (to compare) and there was quite a drop in quality.
With the HVX you can use the LCD flipout monitor for your cue-ing, so you have a nice little portable playback device capable of sourcing anything. It all sounds a bit obvious but I felt more confident doing this than using DVD or BETA source!
EDIUS will span your programme across two cards if need be - and the HVX will re-stitch the play-out frame accurate from the camera.
This was all SD, but the same rules would apply to Hi-def obviously.
The only caveat I found was the time-code became broken at points, so this warrants further investigation.
