p2 Genie or P2 card failure?

I had a shoot yesterday using (3) 4 gig, p2 cards and dumped onto laptop using p2 genie. There were 10 full cards transferred. All appeared to go well. Until...

When I transferred data from laptop to portable harddrive the sound from one card was missing. No audio on card but video was there. I know there was sound because I did an extensive soundcheck with two mics.

I had another shoot the following day and the P2 Genie stopped dumping mid way and Said
"oops a major error has occured" (or something like that) indicating it could be the fault of Genie. So I copied the card contents without the p2 genie. All the files are there but the audio and video cannot be imported using Tools/p2 select in Edius.

My other p2 cards did not seem to have a problem dumping with p2 genie. So could my card be going bad or should I reinstall p2 genie.

Anyone else had this problem

the p2 genie has had some hiccups every now and then.. i'd transfer all my partitions from my p2 store and once in a great while, a couple of the partitions don't come in all the way.. the folder it creates is empty or not the usual 7.5 gigs.. but once in a blue moon.. i always double check that final cut can play each folder before I erase..

I still love the p2 genie (i was one of the beta testers).. it transfers the files quickly and easily..

i just always check each folder thoroughly.. make sure the footage plays.. test import some footage... and then make backups from those folders..

I used the p2 simple checker and there were no issues with the card that defected. So I am quessing it was the p2 genie. I usually check the first folder to make sure the contents are full but didn't on the first shoot. The second shoot the P2Genie software told me there was a problem. Any idea what causes it to short circuit and should I re-install P2Genie.
