P2 firmware?

The P2 Driver applet on the PC can display the firmware revision I believe, as does the firmware updater. AFAIK, there is no updater that runs on the Mac -- for now you'll have to find someone with a PC to do that. If you can't find anyone, I'll be glad to help you out.

Please note that in order to use the Firmware Updater, you must also have the P2 Driver and Card Manager installed, and you'll obviously need to do this on a laptop or have a desktop with a PCMCIA/PCCard drive.

There was a firmware update for the 4gb cards, and there were firmware updates for some of the other products when the 8gb card came out. I don't believe there's been a firmware update for the HVX yet.

The 4gb card firmware update is supposed to make the card more resilient when it's ejected while being written to, or when it's powered off while recording.

I am really surprised the software only work with PC since a lot of VHX users are Mac users. I wish Panasonic would make it available for the Mac platform.
