P2 Firmware update

I see Panasonic has a firmware update for the p2 cards posted dated March 06. Has anyone performed this update and do you recommend it?

I tried it. It seemed to fix transfering files, sometimes one card would hang near the end of the transfer.

..or maybe it was just a coincidence. It works now though.

I d-loaded the P2 firmware update and ended up with this folder on my desktop P2FirmUp0602, There are 6 .dll files and 1 .exe. I am on a mac. thanks

The P2 Firmware upgrade process requires the use of a PC, it can't (at least the last time I looked into it) be done on a Mac.

I did the update on some cards I rented, PC only. It made us more comfortable, especially because we discovered that we were using two cards with the update and two without.

I updated all my 6 four gig cards, but couldnt see any difference so fare, but didnt also shoot much after the update.
However, i think theres no "risk" in doing that...follow davids MOTTO!
