P2 / Firestore Archiving - Any Blu-ray users?

The 2 options I find the most feasible in the near future regarding archiving of all important footage from my Firestore (& eventually cheaper P2 cards) will be to external Firewire hard drives and Blu-ray DVDs. Presently Blue-ray discs are more expensive than let's say a 500 Gig Seagate FW drive.

For a current client I can see needing to archive 1/2 a terabyte (720HD@24P), so the 500 Gig Seagate would run about $225.00 while a Pioneer Blu-ray burner is around a grand and Blu-ray 25GB discs are around $20/per. For future archiving, once someone would have already purchased the Blu-burner, it still looks like purchasing available high capacity hard drives is the most cost effective way to go. Archiving 500GB to Blu-ray discs would cost approx. $400.00 (20 Blu-ray 25G discs) versus $225.00 for 500GB FW drive. And unless you pay $25 for the rewritable Blu-discs, the access convenience of the FW drives is still an attractive feature.

30GB / 50GB / 100GB affordable P2 cards...what...1.5 - 2 years away? Any HVX users already jumped on the Blu-bandwagon? Who's storing HD how?
