P2 files won't log and transfer

Hi, working in FCP6. Have logged and transferred many p2 files before.
However, now having problems. Trying to import P2 files using log and transfer, adding custom path. The Contents folder and text file are in place. The video footage (dvcprohd 24pn) pops up in the viewing window, and I can play and hear all files just fine. When I select to import, the file appears in the transfer queue, the computer shows that it is trying to import the file for about 5-10 seconds, then gives up w/ the the text: 'idle'. Then the red exclamation point is displayed and when I put cursor over it it reads: Error: no data. Not sure how that is possible since it is clearly reading the data when I played the clip earlier to set my In and Out points. I've checked all the capture setting to make sure they are the same codec as the footage.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks!
Matt

Looked in the preferences section of log and transfer in the drop down menu in the upper right.

Uncheck the "Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames" box if it is checked.

Thanks David. I'd already looked into that and that box is unchecked. What's strange is it won't import any P2 footage I've shot over the last few years, but it will play the files back in the log and transfer window. On my Macbook, via the same FCP 6, all the files log and transfer just fine. Could there be a bug in the software? Or are there any other preferences that I'm missing? I'm at a loss.
Many thanks!
Matt
