P2 Driver won't install...tried everything!

the Panasonic P2 Drivers won't install on my Windows XP x64 i7 system. I've tried the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version for Windows. No difference. Tried it with and without the camera connected to it, in all the modes, in all the variants. Nothing.
When the P2 Drivers (32bit & 64bit) start installing, something happens and installation is halted.
I get the following:



Not sure what to make of this, as the P2 Driver off the CD (a year old now) installed fine in the other computer, a Pentium 4 running Win XP Pro (32bit). The Panasonic Drivers updated January 2010 won't work, while the year old CD will? Something is seriously wrong here...

p.s. I haven't tried the CD Drivers on the i7 system yet, may even have lost it....

Just wondering if SP3 is required for the P2 Drivers. I'm pretty sure the Panasonic website says SP2 OR / AND SP3 are supported, but I could be wrong...

What are you trying to offload from? You'll be fine just usb'ing from the camera or you can try a pcmcia adapter and there's a video showing you exactly how to install it the hard way when the other avenues aren't working.
