P2 driver problem. Please Help

I've seen from a few posts that there are a few people out there that have had the same problem, however all the suggestions just don't work. I'm trying to get my PC laptop to read the P2 card via the PCMCIA (cardbus) reader, without much luck. I downloaded the drivers off the panasonic website and tried the ones off the CD as well and and for some reason the install won't finish. The install starts and asks me to pick from a list of drivers to install and I pick the top one, which is P2 cardbus driver. I select it and the computer says it will now install the selected drivers, so I hit the install button and it just flashes quickly makes a beep and does nothing. When I exit out there is a little P2 icon on the task bar and when I go into it there is nothing selected. My computer recognizes the card when I insert it and I stop the installation because it never finds the proper software. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, restarting the computer, reinserting the card (which is not in protect mode) and nothing works. It has to be the fact that the install doesn't finish correctly, does anyone have any suggestions. I give you props if you can figure this one out.

Thanks

1. Make sure you are running with Administrative priviledges.
2. Make sure non-WHQL certified drivers can be installed. (Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Driver Signing)
3. If your laptop has a built-in multimedia card reader (SD/CF/MS etc.), try creating a hardware profile that doesn't include this device. Boot into that profile, and try the P2 driver installation.
4. Insert a P2 card into the PCMCIA/PCCard slot when prompted during the installation, but not before.
5. If you inserted a P2 card before the drivers were installed and allowed Windows to install a default driver, you should remove that before trying the Panasonic driver install.

Thanks for all your suggestions but I can't get any of them working. Still faced with the same issue of getting all the way to where it says it will install the selected drivers and when I click on the install button it just flashes. Panasonic says the PCMCIA is often problematic, which doesn't help me solve this problem at all. Very frustrated at the moment, please let me know if there are any other possible solutions. Thanks
