Is there anyway to recover my files from P2 if the "clip folder" is missing? Lost it while offloading to a laptop somehow. Everything else appears to be there, just don't see anything when trying to import into FCP.:(

Bump , if anyone has a solution it would be great (this is from a wedding video I did, and I hate to have lost these clips)

I think that's one of the "new" p2log features.

Haven't tried it yet, though...

I think you are talking about the new MXF file repair feature in P2 Log Pro. I have tried it on a clip which was on a P2 card that was ejected inadvertently from the camera while it was recording. That clip has in the past not been recognized by either FCP, Avid, nor P2 Log.

I told P2Log Pro to fix that clip, it worked on it for a few minutes, and created a new P2 Volume with the "repaired " version of the MXF file in it. Drum roll...it still would not import into FCP or Avid.

Bummer.

Thanks for the warning.

I might as well drop the upgrade if this is the case...

well, I'm gonna try copying everything to a pc I have avid running on and see if I can save the clips as quicktime files, and bring back to FCP when I'm done. fingers crossed...

Avid can definitely import the files, as it doesn't even use the CLIP folder.

P2 Log Pro can rescue these files too, IINM.

Ok, now I got the clips into avid, and they seem to all be there, but I want to export them out of avid and be able to import into FCP, I tried a quicktime file, but it was just white screen with just the audio playing. Am I screwed?
