• Depending on the personal computer, dropped image frames, disconnected sound, misaligned display of the current bar or time code may occur when playing back images. Additionally, depending on the materials, a single frame step can't be executed. Please note and acknowledge the above.
  • Even when connecting/disconnecting P2 equipment or the P2 card to/from the equipment connected via USB, may not be updated.

In addition, the maximum number of clips with text memos and voice memos is 100 per separated clip. Recording format Recording time DVCPRO HD* Approx. 5 min DVCPRO50 Approx. 10 min DVCPRO/DV Approx. 20 min * DVCPRO HD doesn't include 720P/30PN and 720P/24PN.

Looks pretty cool, but it'd be nice if it could import into the database w/o copying, since I've already got the data on the drives I want it on... And it'd be nice if it worked(damn Im harsh).. Apparently doesn't support Quicktime 7.2, so no audio for me, no sure what else that messes up.... And also only plays about 1 second of a clip when playing directly off the p2 (at least on my system Mac Pro 2.6 w ati x1900 and 3 gigs of ram) dont know why... Doesn't display all meta data unless you go into properties of each clip individually, which for whatever reason I lost the ability to do after going into about three clips... A restart of the software fixed that... Extra Nice would be ability to export .mov ref clips with meta data formmated for final cut(set what values you want in what place and save so that exports always do that?)

For version 1.0.0 it's a good start, a little tweaking and this could be great..

Anyway..There's a wish list panasonic, hopefully you're reading..

Don't know if it's related to this program (even if i think it is) but now fcp can read mxf files. Just have to do a fusion between the video files and the four audio files related, and it's playing on the timeline!

Wow.. I doubt it's releated, but if it is well.. Hey... But if not, why couldn't apple take this support one step further and have it look for the dang audio files??? Hopefully this is to come very soon... No more MXF conversion FINALLY!!!!!

p.s. Barry Bonds just hit homer 756!!

It does appear to be the P2CMS software that's making FCP able to read MXF files. And it's not just FCP, it's any Quicktime application, like After Effects or Shake or Motion or any of 'em.

So does this mean I can bring native MXF files into FCP 6 and when I consolidate the project it will consolidate to MXF... that could be a way cool way fro archiving projects...

Cheers

PS.. hope you had a good time in Oz Barry...

P2CMS Software for Pre-Intel Macs: Anyone have this?

P2CMS Software for Pre-Intel Macs: Anyone have this?

I realize I'm reviving a very old thread but hoping that if anyone has an old copy of the installer on their hard drives that will run on a Pre-Intel Mac (G5 Quad) you could send it to me or point me to a download link. Panasonic is only providing the current version which requires Intel machines at this point.
