P2 Compatibility

I've owned my HVX200a for five years now, and I'm finally going to buy a second P2 card - a 32GB.

Are there any compatibility issues? I've read threads about some series of P2 cards being better/more reliable than others. What do I need to look out for? Is there anything about my specific camera, like the serial number, that I should check out before buying?

There is no difference in reliability, and if you make sure your camera's firmware is up to date then there is no difference in compatibility.

There's a difference in price & lifespan between the "E" series and the eariler "R" and "A" series; "R" and "A" have nearly unlimited lifespan but cost quite a bit more than the newer, cheaper "E" series.

Thanks, Barry. I've never updated the firmware, so I'll do that. I appreciate the explanation on the series designation.
