P2 Clip Importing Problem - HVX direct to Mac - Help?

I originally posted this in the Workflow area and got no responses, so please excuse me for posting here. I've searched here and found answers that have gotten me this far, but no further.

Gear: HVX200/IMac2.33/FCP5.0/FW400-1394 cable/8G P2 cards. Test clips shot at 720/24p.

I am trying to import clips directly from the HVX, attached by FW400, into a Mac. I was able to work through getting the HVX hooked up and the cards mounted on the desktop. In FCP I was able to get the clips recognized in the clip window after using the "Import Panasonic P2" command.

However, when I push the "import" or "import all" command in the P2 clip window, I get an error message that says,

"one or more clips failed to import, possible incomplete or corrupt clips."

I've shot two different rounds of test clips that play for me in the LCD on the camera, but I can't seem to get these into FCP. I really doubt that the clips are corrupted. Can't find the answer in the manual or in Barry's book, or searching threads here.

Seems to me it is something simple that I have overlooked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need FCP 5.0.4 (or later) to import any HD clips. 5.0 only supports standard-def clips; HD support was added in 5.0.4.

Thanks very much Barry. I knew it was something obvious. Just changed the setup to 480i, recorded a clip, and it worked.
