p2 cards vs firestore fs 100

hey all. i'm trying to see the pros and the cons for getting a p2 card or fire store hard drive. i'm looking to get one of them.

I'd start with a search - lots here on that issue.

If price is an issue, go with Firestore. Compare 160gb for $2000 to 32gb for $1500.

It's a little more cumbersome, but you get more bang for your buck.

It comes down to application. For longform recording (concerts, shows, weddings, etc.) go with Firestore. For everything else just use P2. With proper workflow it's much easier and less of a hassle. Tethered recording through a non-locking firewire connection is scary.
