But the capacity of SD (Secure Digital) cards is growing slower than in the case of Flash Cards. Pitty.

There's only so much space on a teeny weeny sd card so you run into difficulties when it comes to increasing capacity.

You are trading convenience with SD card (small) for capacity with Compact Flash. I'm glad my DSLR uses compact flash.

If P2 used CF memory it would have better capacity and would be cheaper albeit bulkier.... but at the moment, capacity is king.

I think they should have used CF. Maybe Pany got a better deal with SD????

Using CF you could build a 48Gb P2 card right now!

SD cards are theirs, so, as we say in Spain, they can do what they want with the cat... I love cats, don´t think wrong...

i'm gonna hold out a bit and wait for prices of those suckers to drop a bit before i make that investment, its just wayyy out of my range right now.

If I was phychic, or I had a time machine, or if someone lent me their crystal ball, then I could tell you %100 for sure.

It is what it is right now, and I don't know the future.

New, higher capacity SD-cards are on their way:

Right now, very few SD cards are suitable for P2. You need a stable, minimum transfer speed of 100 Mbit/s. But SD cards are getting bigger and faster and soon most SD cards are efficient enough for P2 cards.
Because of that, the price for P2 cards should drop faster than the price for SD-cards.

I remember buying a 64 MB CF card for ~ 50 Euros a few years ago. Now I can get a 1024 MB Card for the same money. Flash-memory gets bigger and less expensive pretty quick.
