P2 Cards left in camera?

Never heard of a thrashed contact or a bent pin yet. The mechanism is designed to prevent that.
. heh.

Hi Barry,
I have a friend with a HPX500, he had his card slots replaced as they were playing up, pana did it under warranty, "nothing is fail safe", when you look at the Pins and the card pin receptacles it would only take a very small piece of foreign mattter to bend a pin or two. (I had that happen in a lappies PC slot )
I check card slots/pins every so often to make sure there's no grit etc in there, lets face it, we work in some very rough places at times with our cams, I treat it as good general/regular maintenance.

Cheers

My brother kept his P2 cards in his HVX. When his house was robbed, they got the cam *and* the cards. Me being the paranoid sort, when I'm not shooting I keep my p2 cards locked in a low-profile drawer, away from the camera.
