P2 card update from 8 Gig to 32 Gig. Do I need to update my HVX200 first?

Hi everyone,

I've got one of the first HVX200s from a few years ago and I'm still using the original 8 Gig P2 cards that came with it. I have never sent the camera in for service, even to fix the battery mount issue. I've never had a problem with it.

I need to do a 1080P shoot next week and I want to buy at least one 32 Gig P2 card.

Will it work in my camera without any firmware updates?

If so, do I have to bring it into a service center or can I download the firmware myself?

What do i need to know?

Download the firmware, and make sure you get the latest version that supports the "E" series cards.
