P2 card stored-camera

Is it bad to leave the P2 card in the camera, when the camera is not in use for extended periods of time? I know that leaving tapes in the tape drive can wear down the heads.

I'm hardly an expert to take as gospel, but the only downside I could see, (and I wouldn't worry much), would be the constant contact to the P2 contacts.
In other words, I'll probably be leaving at least one card in at all times.
Now tape, yes, that's a no no.
